summer
It was so hot today. unbelievable.
Headed down to the Cinema Paradiso, a local indie movie house. It's a church that was converted to a theater. Its a great place that I dont visit often enough.
There is a free screening of "The Visioneers" starring Zach Galifinakis. It looks really weird but hopefully it will be good. And it's free so who cares right?

the Postmarks
I shot "the Postmarks" the other night at Propaganda in Lake Worth. They were pretty good, it was worth the 30 minute drive...
Last night's party for Tara was a success. Everyone had a good time, and bonus! we have a ton of beer left over.
Lazy day today, lounging around the house. Tara is cooking up some pork tenderloin with cherries. yum!

4th of July
The 4th was fun this year, as it usually is. I had to work most of the day, but made up for it with a BBQ at Mitchell's. Great food, plenty of drinks, good people and a metric-shit-ton of fireworks. It was nice to have two friends in from out of town that I dont see very often too.
...and no one lost a finger.

Alaia

I got my Tom Wegener Alaia "peanut" yesterday, and here it is...
Being that I live in Florida and it is flat for weeks at a time in the summer, it may be a while before I ride it.
I'm super stoked on it, it's very simple looking and has a sticky feel to it at the moment. I plan on oiling it with linseed oil if I can find some. I might use olive oil, or beeswax and orange oil as a substitute.
More to come after i actually get to ride it!

Francesco Locastro
We went to the IWAN warehouse tonight to hang my photos and help out a bit. Thank you to Tara and Jordan for helping me, I would never get it done by myself.
Late in the evening Francesco Locastro
came by to do a resin pour on the table (not a bar) near the merch. area. I always wanted to know how to do something like that, and he was willing to show us how it was done. He took the time to explain all the steps to us, and a few tips and tricks as well.

done. once it cures overnight you trim the excess drips and you have a new surface!

I just got home from a 12 hour shift with the BSO fire rescue. Working for free rules!
...it wasnt that bad. Good crew, and mostly good patients.

So I officially got listed as part of the opening day exhibition for the IWAN warehouse project's grand opening. the event is called "Bubble". I will post a link when there is one.

At first thought, I was thinking that this is pretty cool and sounds fun. I want to contribute. What's the worst that can happen right? Any chance to get my photos out there is good in my opinion. So, I wrote an email to the girl who sent the note asking for more information.
Today I got this:

It didn't really answer any of the questions I asked but I followed the Russian Lomography link : lomography.ru/news.php?id=67
and discovered that they used my photos to promote the event!
I think some people would be upset that the photos were used basically without asking but they did give me the proper credit and there is a link to my flicker page.
So I'm not sure what, if anything will come of this, but every baby step is a step in the right direction!
