At first thought, I was thinking that this is pretty cool and sounds fun. I want to contribute. What's the worst that can happen right? Any chance to get my photos out there is good in my opinion. So, I wrote an email to the girl who sent the note asking for more information.

Today I got this:

"Hi! This is Sofya.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to thank you for all your emails and nice images regarding the Russian Lomography exhibition, which will be held in Moscow on June-July, 2009.

You are absolutely right that the location of Russian Lomography Embassy in Russia is in Saint-Petersburg. But at the moment we are planning to expand, therefore I am the representative of the Russian embassy in Moscow (from the end of April, 2009).

You can chek the news and contacts by the following links:
- lomography.ru/news.php?id=65
- lomography.ru/news.php?id=67

Unfortunately the English version of our website is under construction now, but as I see you have no problem with Russian.

I also have the email on the lomography.ru website: msk@lomography.ru, you can use it as well.

There is no information about our exhibition on the lomography.com because the dates of the event are not confirmed yet. We will complete the full information soon.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Once again thanks for the kind letters and interesting images.

Best wishes,
Sofya Suhova

It didn't really answer any of the questions I asked but I followed the Russian Lomography link : lomography.ru/news.php?id=67

and discovered that they used my photos to promote the event!

I think some people would be upset that the photos were used basically without asking but they did give me the proper credit and there is a link to my flicker page.

So I'm not sure what, if anything will come of this, but every baby step is a step in the right direction!
